Deppea splendens - Conservation Status - Extinct in the Wild

Native to Southern Mexico the Golden Fuchsia now only exists in cultivation.  During an expedition in the 1980’s seedlings were thankfully collected as the land was later cleared for farming deeming the Golden Fuchsia extinct in the wild.
