A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I’m Emma, the artist and illustrator behind Studio Peers. Originally from Scotland, I now live and work in beautiful Queenstown, Aotearoa. I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Illustration and Graphic Design and still pinch myself that this is what I get to do for a living!

Studio Peers is a celebration of quirky illustration, colour, and botanical inspired design. My work is playful, thoughtful, and created to bring joy and warmth into your home. I work from my studio at Te Atamira where I spend my time painting, illustrating, and developing design projects for clients across New Zealand and internationally.

Of course I can’t forget to introduce Bella my beautiful Clinger Spaniel.  Bellas favourite things are swimming, paddle boarding, sleeping at my feet while I work, and generally getting as much attention as possible.

I love working collaboratively and am always open to new creative opportunities.

  • Illustration licensing (artwork licensed for products, publishing, packaging, and campaigns, with royalties where applicable)

Sustainability

Sustainability is central to Studio Peers. All artwork is printed on archival, FSC-certified paper, ensuring high-quality, long-lasting prints while supporting responsible forestry practices.

I’m passionate about the environment and continually strive to make responsible, sustainable choices throughout my art production and business.

I have a strong focus on portrait and figurative painting and am currently developing a new body of work for exhibition. My paintings have been sold throughout New Zealand, and I regularly exhibit nationally.
