Deppea splendens - Conservation Status - Extinct in the Wild
Native to southern Mexico, the Golden Fuchsia now survives only in cultivation.
During an expedition in the 1980s, seedlings were fortunately collected before the land was cleared for farming, rendering the species extinct in the wild.
